The speed sensor is located near the drivers side at the middle of the gearbox. This gives a signal to the computer to select gears at specific RPM.  It looks like a ABS sensor.

2. Speedo Sensor Auto transmission V4AW3

The speedo sensor connects to the speedo  meter.  It connects through a wire, not a cable. It is located at the end of the gearbox passenger side.  (Delicapartsbrisbane Part no. L4001308)
